Thank you for this great article. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have been growing a small patch of garlic for 35 years. Usually about enough to use for the year. I always replant the biggest and best cloves in October. After harvesting I do wash the bulbs, cut off the roots and air dry. I then braid them. Braiding garlic is so satisfying. I highly recommend learning to braid garlic from a YouTube video. The braids look beautiful hanging in the kitchen.
